Guidance Note Number 1 explains the key factors that need to be considered when developing effective and cost-efficient plans for monitoring biodiversity in the context of conservation projects.

The IUCN SSC Species Monitoring Specialist Group and the IUCN SSC Conservation Genetics Specialist Group produced an IUCN Issues Brief on environmental DNA, which can be downloaded HERE.

The IUCN SSC Species Monitoring Specialist Group and the Restoration Task Force of the IUCN World Commission for Protected Areas produced an IUCN WCPA Guidance Note on monitoring restoration in protected and conserved areas.
